Needle Bearing Universal Joints
HZCDuniversal’s needle-bearing universal joints are designed for applications requiring increased speeds, low-to-moderate loads, and extended service life, such as in the medical, packaging, and robotics industries.
Also known as cardan joints, these products feature high-quality needle roller bearings, precision-machined trunnions with hardened and ground journals, and a choice of alloy or stainless-steel yokes.
This construction reduces friction and increases performance, making them suitable for applications requiring precision and extended service life.
The pre-lubricated needle bearings require no maintenance, reducing machine downtime and increasing the overall service life of the universal joints.
Most of these products include dust seals to protect the bearings.
For improved corrosion resistance, HZCD Transmission offers needle-bearing universal joints with stainless-steel yokes.
Boots are recommended for corrosive, washdown, or sanitary applications, as the trunnions and bearings are made of alloy steel.
The bores can be customized for a blind configuration, preventing shaft penetration into the center joint components and providing added protection against contamination.
HZCD’s needle-bearing universal joints are available in outer diameter sizes ranging from 3/4″ to 2″, with plain or keyway-equipped bores from 3/8″ to 1″ or 8mm to 25mm.
All bore configurations can include a single set screw.
