Slit Couplings

HZCDuniversal’s slit couplings present a compelling option for designers seeking a high-performance coupling with excellent misalignment accommodation capabilities.

These couplings are made from a single piece of 7075 aluminum, resulting in low inertia. The balanced design of the slit couplings ensures reduced vibration, even at speeds up to 70,000 RPM.

The patented slit design features radiused edges, which help to minimize stress on the coupling. This allows the slit couplings to accommodate high levels of misalignment while maintaining torsional stiffness and low bearing loads.

In terms of performance, HZCD’s slit couplings offer torque comparable to a single disc coupling, torsional stiffness similar to a stainless steel beam coupling, and misalignment capacity akin to an aluminum beam coupling.
