Short Rigid Couplings

HZCDuniversal offers short rigid couplings for applications with limited space. While these couplings have a reduced torque capacity compared to standard rigid couplings (due to using a single socket head cap screw per shaft).

The compact collar design reduces inertia, making them well-suited for motion control applications.

HZCD manufactures these short rigid couplings in a variety of materials:

• 1215 lead-free steel with a proprietary black oxide finish
• 303 stainless steel
• High-strength 2024 aluminum

The bore sizes range from 1/8″ to 2″ and 6mm to 25mm, providing flexibility to accommodate different shaft dimensions.

While the torque capacity may be lower than standard rigid couplings, the short design and reduced inertia make HZCD’s short rigid couplings a practical option for space-constrained, motion-critical applications.
